  Laury Miles Macauley    

Ms. Macauley is a senior associate at the Firm, having worked for over sixteen years in the Bay Area. Ms. Macauley received a B.A. degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1983 and graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1986. She was a member of the University of San Francisco Law Review and an extern for the California Supreme Court, Central Staff. Ms. Macauley was admitted to the California Bar in 1987. She is also admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois, as well as in all of the federal courts of the State of California. Ms. Macauley was an associate at the San Francisco firm of Goldberg, Stinnett, Meyers & Davis (formerly Goldberg, Stinnett & Macdonald) for three years and with the firm of Reed Smith Crosby Heafey ( formerly Crosby Heafy Roach & May), working in their Oakland office, for four years. While at the Crosby Firm, she specialized in litigation, representing a wide variety of clients on issues that included bankruptcy and business litigation.

Ms. Macauley was associate general counsel for Hexcel Corporation, a publicly traded corporation in Pleasanton, California, which manufactures specialty materials for use primarily in the aerospace, aeronautics and defense industries. While at Hexcel, Ms. Macauley managed all outside litigation counsel, both domestically and internationally, on cases that addressed personal injury, bankruptcy, employee, and public contract matters. She has extensive experience representing secured and unsecured bankruptcy creditors and is currently representing the City of Galt in the Gen Con, Inc., Chapter 11 case and Fort Dearborn Company in the Tri Valley Growers Chapter 11 case. She currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Orinda Library.
